“Creating Ripples”
Drawing from the philosophies of “The Ripple Effect” & Positive Psychology “creating ripples” was visualised to symbolise how by exploring our emotions we will grow through our expanding personal insight to live healthy, happy & enriched lives.
“Positive Psychology embodies what every human being can say yes to. Every human being can say yes to more positive emotion. All of us can say yes to more engagement. Every human being can say yes to more meaning & purpose in life. Every human being can say yes to better relationships.”
Martin Seligman PH. D.
If we aspire to achieve a happy & fulfilled life then we must invest the time & energy in cultivating a positive state of mind, implement self enhancing strategies and focus our attention on our emotional health & well being.
What determines Happiness?
Lyubomirsky, Sheldon & Schkade (2005) describe the most important factors that determine happiness. The differences among peoples’ happiness levels were explained by 50% due to a genetically determined “set point”. 10% were due to peoples’” life circumstances” that is health, wealth, marital status etc. Most importantly it was found that 40% of the difference was due to our “intentional activities”. So it is up to each of us, a happy & fulfilled life is attainable!
